Guidelines for PAPER PRESENTATION for 52nd IOC Jaipur, India

(IOS life members (LM) & Associate Members (ASM) only)

  1. One member can present only ONE PAPER or ONE POSTER or ONE TABLE CLINIC. In the case of multiple entries, only the first one will be considered to be for inclusion in the Competitive or Non-Competitive section. All submissions for Paper Presentations should be accompanied with the complete manuscript (Not Exceeding 3500 words) to be sent to scientific@52ndioc.com.
  2. Abstracts should not be more than 250 words inclusive of title; font size Arial 12, justified, single line spacing, the spacing between paragraphs 6pt. The document should be saved in .doc or .docx Do not have images inside the abstract. The only abstract that conforms to the given guidelines will be accepted.
  • Research abstract should be in following headings:

                a. Introduction and objectives of study           b. Methodology   

                c. Results                                                        d. Discussion / Conclusion

  • Clinical abstract should discuss in detail the problem list, treatment objectives and treatment options and treatment modality, biomechanics followed in the cases.
  1. Please mention “Paper – Clinical” or “Paper – Research” or “Paper – Clinical Innovation” as the case may be in Subject of the Email.In the case of more than one contributor, Certificate will be given to the First Author (lead presenter) ONLY.
  2. The Paper presentation should be an original work; any conflict arising regarding plagiarism will be directed to the Ethics Committee of the IOS
  3. Oral presentation may get converted to poster presentation as per the judges’ decision and hence, abstract should contain pertinent details.
  4. These applications will be scrutinised by the head office and finalised for presentation. Schedule for the same will be put up on the website (www.52ndioc.com)by October 1st 2017.
  5. The Speakers are requested to furnish consent to publish the presentation in the Journal of Indian Orthodontic Society or the New Journal of IOS.
  6. Only entries by email on scientific@52ndioc.comwill be accepted. The last date for submitting the entries is August 31st 2017; any entries received thereafter will be not considered.
  7. Review paper shall NOT be accepted; incomplete forms will not be considered.
  8. If the Paper Presentation is selected in Competitive Category, you will be provided with a Code, which should be mentioned on lower right corner of each slide of the presentation.
  9. If the Paper Presentation is selected in Non-Competitive Category, you will be provided with a Code. Name of the First Author, Code and Conference registered ID should be mentioned on lower right corner of each slide of the presentation.

 

Guidelines for E-POSTER submission for 52nd IOC Jaipur, India

(IOS Life Members (LM), Associate Members (ASM) and Student Life Members (SLM) only)

  1. One member can present only ONE PAPER or ONE POSTER or ONE TABLE CLINIC. In the case of multiple entries, only the first one will be considered to be for inclusion in the Competitive or Non-Competitive section.
  2. Abstracts should not be more than 250 words inclusive of title; font size Arial 12, justified, single line spacing, the spacing between paragraphs 6pt. The document should be saved in .doc or .docx Do not have images inside the abstract. The only abstract that conforms to the given guidelines will be accepted.
  • Research abstract should be in following headings:

                a. Introduction and objectives of study    b. Methodology   

                c. Results                                                 d. Discussion / Conclusion

  • Clinical abstract should discuss in detail the problem list, treatment objectives and treatment options and treatment modality, biomechanics followed in the cases.
  • General abstract should include topics related to recent advances or new development in the field of Orthodontics pertaining to materials, techniques, biomechanics, etc
  1. Only entries by email on scientific@52ndioc.comwill be accepted. The last date for submitting the entries is August 31st 2017; any entries received thereafter will be not considered.
  2. Please mention “E-Poster – Clinical (Student or Life Member)” or “E-Poster – Research (Student or Life Member) or E-Poster – General (Student or Life Member)” as the case may be in Subject of the Email.
  3. Total presentation time of E-Poster should be of 60 seconds with the maximum of 3 slides in Landscape Orientation with auto-transition.
  4. If the E-Poster is selected in Competitive Category, you will be provided with a Code, which should be mentioned on lower right corner of all Slides.
  5. If the E-Poster is selected in Non-Competitive Category, you will be provided with a Code. Name of the First Author, Code and Conference registered ID should be mentioned on lower right corner of all Slides.

 

Guidelines for TABLE CLINIC for 52nd IOC Jaipur, India

  3. Only one 6’ x 2’ feet table will be provided for each Table Clinic
  4. Charts, diagrams and display materials must be limited to the table top and their height must not exceed 48”.
  5. The use of patients, live models for treatment or demonstration purposes, or sound devices of any kind is prohibited.
  6. Advertising matter, commercial promotion and solicitation of sales of any type are prohibited.
  7. If the Table Clinic is selected in Competitive Category, you will be provided with a Code, which should be mentioned on lower right corner of the given table.
  8. If the Table Clinic is selected in Non-Competitive Category, you will be provided with a Code. Name of the First Author, Code and Conference registered ID should be mentioned on lower right corner of the given table.
